What role can athletes, sports health and communication leaders play in cancer advocacy, prevention and research? Dr. Marc Williams sports marketing pioneer, cancer advocate and leadership expert, and ESPN’s Sports Analyst Helen Williams will moderate this session that features some of the world leading experts in sports behavior, communication leadership and cancer non-profits for sports. Outcomes from this session will include a publication with focus on how sports can advance cancer advocacy, prevention education, research, social and psychological support interventions used in cancer rehabilitation. Potential for development of leading-edge global health partnership between academic/healthcare/sports institutions, foundations/non-profits, athletes, and communication experts for cancer advocacy, prevention and research will be discussed.
