Religion and Health
How are the disciplines of health and religion related (historically and/or contemporaneously), and vitally important to understandings of health, wellness and healthcare? What kinds of partnerships and networks could be marshaled and mobilized to address the global disparities in healthcare (including cancer and mental health) and quality treatment? What kinds of ethical and cross cultural standards and competencies need to be set and implemented to foster creative and productive interdisciplinary approaches to global health care, around medicine and religion? These questions and actionable outcomes will be addressed in this panel discussion. Outcomes will include a publication and blueprint for potential collaboration and funding to leverage the tremendous role of religion and religious leaders/institution in impacting healthcare in communities in the USA and globally.
